Moonpig prepay statement

I have an email in my inbox described as 'Your Moonpig Prepay Statement'.
I right clicked on the message source (without actually opening it) and was able to read some of the message which appears to say that I have £35+ credit.

The thing is, although I have used Moonpig a couple of times, I have never loaded any credit so do not know how this can be right.

Is it a scam; and if so, how does it work?

No idea if it's a scam or not.

If it is it will work either by stealing your moonpig credentials and misusing them or by fooling you into downloading a trojan

or both

Thanks dzug2.

Would it be safe to open the message without clicking on any links?

I am paranoid about security.
I would go to the Moonpig site (but NOT from the link within the email) and log in to check if there is any credit balance if I were you.
