Am I reading too much into this?

After giving my girly time on her own I texted her to say hi and she texted back and said she misses me and her going out drinking wth my mate.

Maybe she's taking it slow as I did leave her in a bit of a few 'told you so' moments.

I know she'd never run off with my mate so it can't be that.

Am I reading too much into this or is it a glimmer of hope somewhere in the distance for me and her?

If she said she misses you, why not collect her and your mate and go out like old times? Have a pleasant evening and see how it goes. Just take her text comments at face value, go out with her, and then judge for yourself in person.

if she said she needs space, let her have it. don't text her, don't ring her, nothing. if she had text you out of the blue with this comment i would agree with rampart; but as you text her first i'd leave it. when she is ready to come back to you she will, and if not at least you will know. she has left you in limbo (the most horrid place on earth) i think you just need to be patient and wait for her to make all the moves. she was the one that wanted space after all.

I think I would take a middle ground, and txt her back to say "Yeah, twas cool going out, must do it again some time...let me know if you fancy it and I'll pick you up" (assuming she hasn't passed her test yet!!!) or something like that. SOmething to recognise the olive branch, but not to hang on it and snap it off!
