I have an M reg Ford Fiesta. My problem is that I had to get the breakdown company to come out this morning as it wouldn't start due to a flat battery. They jump started it and I got a new battery fitted. However, I think I've now figured out why the battery was run down in the first place. I noticed that the information light on the stereo was lit up even when the ignition wasn't on, but can't turn the light off because the radio has stopped working in the last few days!

Could this have run the battery down, and if so how can I get the light to go out without incurring costly garage bills?!

Any advice much appreciated!

Well if the sterio is not working and you dont want it to work just pull it out and you will see a conector block disconect it and put the sterio back in, if you want it to work email me. As for the batter it wouldent put much drain on it a light on a sterio but if the battery was ready to go out yes it would but a sterio can be on for weeks before it would run it down, but if car running often it will be fine but as said disconect conector block, IAM A MECANIC.
