I can't believe I'm the only one who does this version in preference to the cryptic one, but I never see any reference to it unless it's me asking! Maybe I'm the only one too dim to complete it without help! Oh well, here goes:

Agree with the others' answers - but think it's a lousy clue.

I do 24 crosswords per week, general knowledge and cryptics, and get more pleasure from doing the Times T2 Jumbo than any other.I tend to leave doing it until the later part of the week when I've completed the weekend and the 2 daily crosswords, (Mail & Crusader).What does surprise me is that it is the same prize for both types of crossword.

Thanks for your input, everyone. I had wondered if it could be backspin, but the dictionary definition doesn't really match the clue...as you say, BigMac, rubbish clue - still, I've put it in anyway, so good luck all and thanks again.
