How long does it take to recover? It is a major operation. I hope everything went well. I assume it will be Christmas in hospital. Celebrations when he gets out.

over here if things go to plan warm them up wake them up and get them off the ventilator within about 4 hours but with heavy duty pain meds they are pretty knocked out for some time and with 'pump head' confusion a lot of patients get after being on a bypass machine it can be a few days before they are feeling themselves op Wednesday my best guess would be we might hear from him tomorrow if all is well but we don't know for certain and with older patients it could be a a bit longer.

Starbuckone. Both people I know who had ops like Sqads, but one was quadruple and the other quintruple, were home in about 5 days, amazing. However, Sqad has the added problem of getting home and I doubt flying would be allowed.

He does Ron but had to be airlifted from his home to Palma for best treatment.

I believe you go into ITU for some hours before going into a ward. Hopefully he is out of there now and starting to feel a bit better and in less pain. Thinking of you Sqad.! x Brendax
