Water from faulty shower leaking into the living room of my flat.
I live in a flat conversion of 4 flats. The flat above me is rented out by the owner, and about 2 weeks ago there was a flood from their bathroom into the living room of my flat caused by a faulty wastepipe in their bath. It was fxed by a plumber on the same night it happened.
I am now claiming for the damage to my ceiling and walls through the building insurance of the flats.
However , a week later I noticed more more water coming through at the same area. This time it came from their shower which is over the bath. The seal was rotten and subsequently the water leaks out on to the floor and seeps through my ceiling.
Eventually the owner of the flat got another plumber out, and an unsatisfactoery temporary fix was done with masking tape. Despite my calls to the owner nothing permanant has been done since then, (5 days ago) The owner of the flat doesn t answer my calls or emails.
Today I heard that he had given it to a letting agency to manage so I rang them and they knew of the problem and said it was in hand and had been fixed. However tonight I went up to the flat, courtesy of the tenants and the temporary fix is still there and nothing permant has been done. The floor under their bath is still soaking wet and musty, and not my flat is beginning to smell musty too.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I cannot seem to get anywhere with anyone I try to talk to about this.

The bath should be removed, the sub-floor made good after drying out, all old sealant removed (a groin ache in itself), the bath re-installed with close attention to weight-bearing and potential for movement, and then all re-sealed. And it's the Christmas holidays.
If you're within 30 miles of Burnley I'll do it for £500 (time of year and urgency) but that's only re-installing the exisiting. It may call for a new bath and taps.
