10 items Unabloodyvailable. No Mince Pies. No Sprouts. No Christmas Cake. No Christmas Pudding. No Creme Fraiche, No Yorkshire Puddings, No Joint of Beef, No Joint of Pork, No Green & Blacks Tasting Selection x 2. Plus no Treacle nor a battery. Barstewards. All the Christmassy things UNABLOODYVAILABLE. Did they not realise it's CHRISTMAS?

Waitrose have really let me down. Now I have to go out in a howling gale to try and find a supermarket with a spare car parking space TONIGHT. I was so organised but I was relying on them. Never again. Breathe.

So my question is, what time do you think will be the quietest time to go this evening? Sainsburys is open until 11.59 tonight. Thanks.

i know alot of people who go to those open all hours tescos, my friend (who is a nurse) does some ungodly hours and she says the best time to go is late night because its so quiet. I hate online shopping, you can never rely on it
late at night may be good, but the shelves may also be empty. At some 24-hour shops they stock the shelves at night but that doesn't guarantee they'll have put out what you want when you're there.
its only food :) :)
I always take my Xmas delivery 22/23 Dec so that I have time to buy any missing items otherwise you have to do the very thing you didn't want to do in the first place !
I shopped for my last minute items in Morrisons yesterday and it was horrendous. I didn't use the pensioners time slot (and the Age Concern Bus was very definitely out of order - it arrived at 11.00am outside Morrisons!!)

Anyway, as I said, it was horrendous, but I forgot mince pies and coffee. Sent Mr LL out this morning to get both and he said the store was virtually empty and everything very much reduced.
I gave up online shopping ages ago. It was convenient as I lived in the sticks and was working. However, I really do prefer to shop myself these days. I get what I want with no substitutions - and I do prefer to choose my own veg!! I am one of those dreadful people who take ages picking out the most healthy looking vet!!
Oh a healthy looking vet would come in very handy this Christmas. I meant veg of course!!
lol at Lottie picking a healthy looking vet... "Come home with me and tell me what you think of my canines"
lottie, why are you shoping for a vet ? lol
Suprising what you can find in Morrisons if you look hard enough! ;o)
it seems that some folk on here don't agree with my opinions and think my avatar is misleading...........

as for my opinions they are mine and other opinions are available.

my avatar is not in the least misleading 'cos I look just like that.

happy christmas all
