Don't worry about transport if it comes to that. My son had taxis paid for my the EA as our nearest special school was about 10 miles away and I don't drive. He was picked up and dropped off every day.
If you need any advice when the time comes for getting a statement just ask here for help, there are a few of us who have statemented children who would be happy to advise.
Thanks Daffy, I am going to the contact the county's SEN and get the ball rolling. The new speech therapist seems competent but not very compassionate (the old one was really child-friendly). I will check in for advice if I get stuck though, thanks again, x
try and make proactive financial decisions instead of reactive. Forever seem to be forking out for things out of our control or unexpectedly.
try and give our daughter a more normal year free from family deaths, pet deaths, hospital visits to see family members, next door neighbour living a life that attracts the kind of scum who were willing to put all of his house windows through ... on two occasions!
I know what I'll be getting this year from my grandmother who has sold some land in Cyprus (being divided up between my 5 cousins, my brother and me). But it is mostly going in to Little Tiggs savings. University fees will probably reach £50k by the time he gets to 18!!!
