Turtle Beach headsets
I trust all my gaming buddies have had a good Christmas and got some gaming time in!
Got a set of turtle beach headphones and having a bit of config problems. There are 2 leads, one needs to go into the xbox controller and the other goes into the headphone jack on the TV.
The setup guide says you need to choose 'hear through both' on the voice options. (meaning hear through both headphones and tv speaker)
The trouble I'm havng is that although the headset is working both ways I can also still hear the chat and game sounds through the tv speakers.
I thought plugging something in to the headphones jack on the tv would mute the tv speakers?

Just re-read your OP. Are you sure the other lead goes into the TV? I tried that initially with mine and got nothing, it was only after a while I realised the other lead goes into the xBox, via the adaptor at the back.
Depending on the model of console you have the older ones (like mine) required the adaptor, newer models of console didn't.
Hope that solves things for you.
