Finepix Z35 has stopped charging..

It is 2 years old. I plug it into the charger (or USB lead) and nothing happens- it doesn't seem to recognise that it is plugged in. Is the camera dead? Is there anything I can do to try and fix it?

I have no idea but off the top of my head could the battery be dead (this happened with my mobile)? I got a replacement off Amazon.

Definitely sounds like a dead battery. Try buying a replacement, if it still doesn't charge it could be the charging lead or the socket it plugs into.

Look in the PC/Laptop Device Manager FIRST to see if is recognised OK when plugged in.
It will probably be showing under Disk Drives or Imaging devices.
If it can't be found .. and NOTHING happens when plufgged in on USB .. AND you tried a DIFFERENT USB socket on PC, try re-installing any driver from the supplied disc (I think there should be one for that camera)

If nothing in battery charger .. as above .. replace battery.
