Clear North Korean Turnip Soup

■ ½ lb lean dog (shoulder, shin or flank)
■ 1 cup cut-up chinese turnip (imported)
■ 1 scallion
■ 1 garlic clove
■ 1 handful of grass
■ 4 cup dog stock
■ 1 tsp soy sauce
■ 1 sprinkle of dried Kim Jong Il flakes.
■ 1 tbsp salt

1. Shred the dog into 2-inch lengths.
2. Worship the vegetable and bless the Dear Leadership, then peel the turnip, cut it into 2-inch pieces, then slice.
3. Cut the scallion into 2-inch lengths and mince the garlic.
4. Bring the stock to a boil if you can (see below).
5. Add the dog and bring to a boil a second time.
6. Skim off the froth (to give to the in-laws) and add the turnip, grass, scallion, garlic, soy sauce and salt. Worship the dried Kim Jong Il skin flakes and add
7. Lower the flame and simmer for 30 minutes.
8. Variations: for a rich turnip soup, follow the procedure for rich soups by adding a gold bar.
9. Heat 1 tablespoon sesame oil in a heavy-bottomed pot and brown the meat.
10. Add the turnip, scallion and garlic.
11. Add the soy sauce, Kim Jong Il and salt, then the stock.
12. Bring the soup to a boil if you have any gas or coal left.
13. Simmer for 20 minutes.
14. This recipe yields 4 weeks of servings.
