Th difference with some other religious differences, it seems that these opponents choose to use brooms as their weapons, instead of bombs.

Take a good look at that video again . Look at the height , age , slimness and athleticism of the broom-carrying rioters , and tell me whether you still think that they are priests . Also the "priests" are wearing facemasks !!!....clearly to protect themselves from the dust when sweeping ......or maybe there's another reason.....

Not sure the video was as it seems. I have visited the Church of the Nativity and yes - they do have boundaries, also in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre but when we saw the Armenian worshippers (who were mostly nuns) they were very gracious kind, meek people who could set an example to many in other religions.

actually, I have found folk who are truly religious in any religion, like your Armenian nuns, Ann, to be serenely gracious - from the catholic monks of west Senegal to the Coptic churches in Cairo to the Far East or even in Muslim communities.

If anyone ever needed evidence of the sheer nuttiness of religion, this is it. It's not as if it just happened this once; this "holy-place" conflict goes on frequently and has done for years. It's almost an annual event like the Boat Race or Six Nations!
