I've looked at several on-line dictionaries. They all say "mongooses", but the American Merriam-Webster dictionary also gives "mongeese" as an alternative.

thanks for your input, could have been "mongoose" like "deer" mongooses sounds funny, and mongeese sounds like a lock of birds
