Old Cartoon movie

I remember some old cartoon movie about a boy on an amazing adventure. I remember a flying bed, something about a staff and the words "Amma Pajama" (or something like that), and a short man with a cigar (I think) and a map that part of it got wiped off. The boy had a flying squirrel, too. And there were people who turned into trees. It had something to do with dreams, I think, and there was a parade at the end. Any idea what it is?
