Well the same thing is going on with a formula for a German Sourdough mixture that you have to stir and feed for 10 ish days then you divide it into 4 and pass 3 on so 3 other people can feed and stir and pass 3/4 of their dough mix on. Apparently it makes a really good fruit cake. You also pass on the recipe. Not reached here yet but gradually moving acros GB.
I admit I read that article yesterday and now have my own Herman fementing nicely in the cupboard under the stairs! I will only pass it on to a couple of friends tho and tell them I won't be upset if they don't do it, just a bit of fun really and quite looking forward to how he will turn out. If I like it I will prob do it again but just for us and won't pass it on unless my friends want me to.
I remember reading on Facebook quite a few months back the neice of Mr Wingnut going on about it on there (they live over 200 miles away) so was waiting for it to work it's way up here but it never happened. I suspect after that article I will be hearing a lot about Herman amongst the Mums in the playground come hometime!!!!
