Does anybody remember a desert war film shown as part of a double bill with Midnight Cowboy in Newcastle in 1969 cannot remember the name: all I can think of a pair of jeeps with with large calibre machine guns driving through the north african desert ?

unfortunately ice cold was made in the 50's and was about an ambulance

Thanks for everbodies efforts but it is still a mystery
Midnight Cowboy was released at the end of 1969. The only other North Africa war films released about the same time were Massacre Harbor (American) and Bullet for Rommel (Italian). So maybe it was an older film rereleased?
