Now that two of the five who appeared in court previously have been made to pay for the crime. The press are saying it's time to get the other three suspects.
The Daily Mail names them also.
The BBC news web site is saying new evidence has come to light since in the last few days.
What is to stop any the three named by the press as being guilty from fleeing the country ?

What countries these days would you flee to escape the law ?

They seem to have the means to do so.
Well that's if you believe everything The Daily Mail prints ....

Although 4 of them might be accessories to the murder only one of them used the knife to kill him. I believe they still do not know who killed him. It would certainly be an injustice for the real murderer to get away with it if it isn't one of the two already inside.

To leave the country undetected could be quite difficult as they now register all departees. It doesn't take much administration to add their names to the list of those to be apprehended.
The UK has no extradition treaties with the countries in grey:

I feel they are as guilty as each other no matter who used the knife/knives. Am I wrong do you think?

Yes , but they have no reason currently to stop them leaving the country.
They are not on bail ?
Was that a certain ABer that they just interviewed on the BBC News making a certain offensive comment against coloured folk.......?

Disgusting actually.
Well...he was an old git

My point is that while the popular press are naming who they feel are guilty and the police are telling the press they are closing in on them....then these chaps are hardly going to sit about and wait for the knock on the door are they ?
Maybe they need to be more discreet in case they fly.
Just waiting for the press release to say they have done a runner.
Realistically there's little chance of them doing a runner. How would they live in a foreign country? And what country would want them? There doesn't need to be an extradition treaty for a foreign country to get shot of someone they don't want.
Coloured folk????

I think the Mail knows something the police can't prove. Like they printed years back....Murderers..if we're wrong, sue us.
Tbh, these guys have known for nearly 20 years that they are being closed in upon. None of them have fled.

I suspect they are working on the basis that if they were going to be arrested and charged they would have been. I doubt they will flee. The DM named the "murderers" years ago and they have hung around.

I don't think any further charges will follow unless the two recent convicts cough up.
Police said on the news tonight that they have had new information come in over the last 24 hours so here's hoping.
Wasn't there suspicion many years ago that of the 2 Acourt brothers still free , from a known crime family , having received information /help from crooked police? After the police collusion in newspaper phone hacking do you think bent coppers passed information which may have helped the Acourts to avoid jail? And with Mr Lawrence now asking the 2 convicted killers to turn others in , should they be worried that some criminal contacts inside may kill them to stop them turning the others in?Without evidence from the convicted 2 it seems unlikely the others will ever be convicted.
I think the Lawrence family have been very brave, and perservered for so many years. I think if it had been me in their terrible position I would have been rather nervous of these thugs when trying for so long to get a conviction. I would have been worried by what these thugs were capable of to silence me. Also I do think it was extremely brave of them to critizise the police, because the police ususally will stick together and do not take too kindly to any critizisim of any kind. However, in this case there perserverence has paid off, both by changing the mentality/attitude of the Police Force and by bringing these thugs to justice.

I do think the sentences were far too lenient tho - but then they always are.
