I'm having a major problem with my laptop, everytime I press the .(dot) button it types mvxzc and presses return? I have scanned it for viruses with AVG, spybot and exterminator virus remover, but none have found anything. Does anyone have any suggestions how to fix my laptop?

Check to see if you have the correct keyboard system layout you should be using. To check if your keyboard is faulty plugin a desktop usb keyboard and see if the same thing happens when you press the dot key

I'm having the exact same problem right now with my comma button! Also with my 'i' and 'o' key! Did you get this problem fixed? Please help! I've scanned for viruses, cleaned my laptop keyboard, uninstalled and reinstalled it, and nothing's working!

I ended up buying a new keyboard off ebay and replacing it myself and it sorted the problem. Its very easy to do and quite cheap.
