a kind of cradle to hold a telephone receiver to my ear leaving my hands free while I am speaking and listening on the main telephone? I am sure such things exist as I have seen them occasionally in bits of film on tv. I believe office workers used to use them.

Have you tried Amazon, I know I've seen them but not totally sure it was there but worth a try first then perhaps BT shop online?

Thanks everyone. I have only been able to locate them from the USA. I don't want to buy a hands free phone as the conversation is sometimes of a private nature and I need to carry on with what I am doing whilst speaking, The ones I am thinking of have a mouth piece that curve round to speak into. I am also moving about whilst talking.
