Burnt mouth

Last week I burnt the roof of my mouth with a roast potato. It is still giving me a lot of pain and discomfort, particularly when eating anything hot or coarse.

I know I can't put a plaster on it, but has anybody got a solution that might ease my discomfort please?

Difflam Mouth Wash. Antibacterial and local anaesthesia.

You should be able to get it over the counter.
dont eat then it ill heal faster icecream for a day
normally burns in the mouth settle quite quickly... you might try a mouthwash like corsodyl It helps when I get a bad crop of mouth ulcers
Only the obvious. Don't eat anything coarse or hot for a while. Warm soups and stuff maybe ?
suck an ice cube or ice pop...BTW...WELCOME HOME SQAD......missed you ..what'or you?...valve replacement ?...apologies to jd for aside...

Thank you all for your answers, looks like ice cream followed by non alcoholic mouthwash, and for afters, lashings of bonjella!
