Starts off "Cry baby bunting daddy's gone a hunting"
chorus went something like "DON'T RUN RABBIT RUN DON'T RUN RUN RUN, DON'T RUN FROM YOUR FATHER WITH HIS BRAND NEW GUN" sounds like the sisters of mercy, any ideas?

No Sir Alec! Sisters of Mercy (Gothic Rock) is maybe the name of the group that sings the song, nothing to do with the thompson twins.

Have you tried Googling "Lyrics Sisters of Mercy"? - you'll get the Leonard Cohen song but you might come up with the band's song history.

Tried that boxtops, no luck. The fact is that it sounds like Sisters of Mercy, but it might not be them. No Judderman, not the one, thanx anyway.

I know this isn't the one but this is what The Sisters were doing in 1990. Is it this kind of sound you're looking for?
The lyrics are ringing vague bells but I can't quite pin it down.

I actually have the song in mp3, i converted it from an old audio cassette, just haven't been able to find out who they are in all these years. Yes, the style and the voice are very Sisters of Mercy, at one point the voice seems even like the singer from Bauhaus, if you want i can post it to you via email.

Ok, got it and...
it's not the one I was thinking of or, in fact, one I've heard before. I see what you mean, it kind of flips between the Sisters and Bauhaus.
I have a couple of old goth mates, I'll see if they know it...
I'm definitely intrigued.
