To all you plant lovers out there please help I have a very young cherry tree that is full of cherries and flourishing the tree is about 9/10 meters high however, I have noticed that the leaves are curling up (I thing it is called leaf curl) is there a product or procedure I need to use or follow to make my tree better?? ) is there a product or procedure I need to use or follow to make my tree better??

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Todays Manchester Evening News says that there is little you can do at this time of year - and spraying now will probably do more harm because you will kill ladybirds and other beneficial insects that are now building up on the trees. Their advice is to initiate a routine spray with tar oil in the winter when the tree is dormant.

Thanks for the replies I have started spraying the affected leaves and yes they are infected with bug's (black fly) when I was spraying I saw a lot of ladybirds on the tree so perhaps I should stop spraying!!. The tree came from a local nursery at Cews hill here in north London, it was about 5/6 feet high when I purchased it and towards the end of last summer it shot up and now it's covered in cherries some are turning red, when I lived in Manchester I didn't see any in the nurseries I think the weather is a bit warmer further south (more bugs though!!!)
