Your sons can't be left with your debts, your estate can.
Have been thinking about taking one out for Mr Alba.
Am interested in seeing replies.

i dont want any debts left at all, just want eneugh to get buried and the boys get half of everything else,(my estate etc)
The over 50 insurance doesn't require any medical history therefore the companies take a reasonable gamble on you not flaking out too soon, by not paying out huge amounts. If you can supply an acceptable medical history, you can gain a much larger payout by a factor of maybe 6 or 7. This should safely bury you and leave plenty for a decent wake/baltic cruise.
I've never had life insurance......I'd rather spend the money on me whilst alive.
Had life assurance once. Not a bad return as it happened. But it included a tax-break as I recall.

i dont think anyone would be happy to insure me as my health is not good, but i migh hang on for a few years yet
Hi all, I took out the Post Office version of one of these a few years ago and unlike most of the others it doesn't have to be paid until death. With most of them you have to keep up payments until you die or you get nothing back. The Post Office one is paid for 20 years then the premiums stop and it pays out on your death. Cover seemed to be about the same as the others.
You have got to live at least 2 years to collect, anything less and you only get Premiums returned.
With the Post Office one it's only 12 months not 24 like most of the others.
