I don't know where else to put this question so I'll try it here. If AB Ed thinks it would do better elsewhere I'm sure he/she will transfer it for me.

Can anyone identify this aircraft, and any idea why it would be flying North from Peterhead in Scotland? Thanks.

Hi, Looks like it could be the Nimrod. Used for tracking and rescue.
The aircraft is a Bae Nimrod MR2 of the RAF. It is a maritime patrol /reconnaissance aircraft and is based in Scotland - Lossiemeouth if my memory serves me right.
Ignore my mis-spelling of Lossiemouth - typing error. Apologies to our friends north of the border.
