earlier today i looked at a website - just an ordinary one very.co.uk ... clothes etc...
and now almost every site i go one has about 4-5 separate ad boxes showing the exact items i looked at on this site...
i have never seen that before - how have they done it?
have they installed something on my machine or something?
the site is not dodgy as far as i know... my mum buys from it.
thanks

Next to the ads, you may see a little link. Click that and it should lead to a page that explains what is going on.

haha... if they didn't make the ads so irritating people wouldn't install adblockers...!
i have never and would never follow an ad that pops up and irritates me with music etc and asks if i'm 'sure' i don't want it, its basically junk mail... and that goes in the bin too.
i suppose i feel a bit sorry for the decent companies who lose out because of it and i may miss a few good things but thats their problem...
i do have an adblocker...these weren't pop-ups, they are just the ones you see round the edges of sites.
