Hello.

Is there no Sunday Lunch thread today?

Typical. First time in ages I have a proper Sunday Lunch, and there's no thread.

Chicken is nice on a Sunday, cazzz.
Hey Seagull. Sorry for not doing the thread today. It's been quite a day.

I was driving back from Lee-on-the-Solent and a car driving in opposite direction lost a fair bit of timber just in front of me. There were planks flying everywhere. How no one was seriously injured and Alfie didn't go through my windscreen I don't know.

Got home and bathed Alfie with his steroid shampoo and that caused asthma attack and itchy hives all over my arms. Then Alfie got out the garden and I eventually found him on the main road. That was more frightening than the first incident.

Headwreck, WOTW is on Thursday. I haven't done one for three weeks as many folk have a period of abstinence at this time of the year. It will be back this week.

Finally... I am having Thai red curry with basmati rice and vietnamese prawn crackers for dinner.
We had home made leek and potato soup with homemade rolls.

For supper we are having twice cooked pork belly in a sticky glaze with spiced red cabbage and green beans and onion and apple veloute.

then apple crumble with honey and nutmeg ice cream (I know its a lot of apples but the OH specifically requested apple crumble).
i cooked an amazing slow cooked steak and ale pie!! omg i want seconds but to stuffed to contemplate it :(

HB ... you need wine after that experience!

Red, of course, as white is giving you flatulence ... or whatever it was.

barmaid ... you've put a lot of work into that meal.
I made a lovely chicken chasseur with lots of mushrooms in (my favourite )

I'm popping over to NoMs to drop off a bottle of calming wine before heading over to Barmaids. Mr Cake can have the pork to himself......
Cheers, Eccles. Perhaps you can stop for a quick drink.
