Was looking round some end of sale bargains earlier and decided to get some more bathroom scales as mine are broken.
Was quite excited trying them when I got home and they have me at just under 2 stone over what I weighed at the doctors last Monday. So, save putting an invisible couple of stone on in under a week they are broken.
Do I face the shame of taking them back to the shop and looking like a demented woman who is having a freak out as she doesn't like what the scales say? Argh, mortified!
Tried another bargain I got on and foudn they've left the security tag on too so going to have to take that back as well and make sure they don't think I've nicked it!
Shopping is stressful haha!

I wondered how the alarm didn't go off! Mind you, despite being pretty patient and very uncomplaining I've nearly walked out of that shop a few times now due to the attitude of the staff and their shocking customer service, only stayed as they had lovely things I really wanted for my nephew.
I had it happen a few years ago with a skirt I'd bought for a wedding. I didn't wear it for a while and didn't discover the tag was on until I wore it and it was banging against my leg on the wedding day! Didn't feel like I could take it back then in case they thought I'd nicked it and couldn't find the receipt. Saying that, don't think I've worn it since the wedding!

It's something that does happen from time to time, if you walk out of a store with a tag on an item that it DOESN'T set the alarm off. It might when you walk back in though (I work in a Sports shop and have come across this). Tags put on items in other stores have set off our alarms and the people always say "It never went off in ****** or ** *****"
As long as you have the receipt for your tagged item (And take that back with you as well), you shouldn't have any problems (Apart from the hassle, that is...).
