Six weeks and three days until I finish work for good on Leap Year Day. Was going to retire in June when Mr BD retires but have been offered voluntary redundancy with a nice payout if I finish at end of Feb. Did not have to think twice about it and couldn't wait for the confirmation letter. I will be at home for three months on my own so can see lots of decorating and shopping on the horizon. Holiday booked in June and then will have to think of things to do to keep me occupied as himself will be off fishing whenever he can. What do you other retirees do to keep busy?

Everyone I know who is retired always says they don't know how they ever had time for work.

Enjoy! :)
We moved house to be nearer grandchildren so we could help more. After finishing all the decorating with the new house we had to stop and think. We bought a motor home so we could get out and about more. We also joined our local U3A. This gives you the option of lots of different activities each month. Through this we met lots of people and made some really good friends.
