No. EE bosses tried their hardest to persuade him to no avail. Apparently he's retired from acting? He just came back to give us all a little buzz, which I'm sure a whole load of people missed. I turned it off before the credits finished rolling, it was only when I read in Sat's paper that he'd been there, so I checked out Sunday's repeat ... ahhhh .... I did so love him....

I didnt recognise him! He looks very different and I had to replay it to check I was right.

My daughter used to like him in Heartbeat and was gutted she missed him on Friday as she turned to itv for Corrie as soon as the credits went up lol
