annoying modern technology

i bought a new kettle.... my old one seemed to take ages to boil, i could flick it on, go to loo, do a text, grab some chocolate and answer a couple of posts before it boiled.... this one, i fill it, sit down, put my lappy on my knee and before i have chance to type its boiled... what modern technology annoys you?

yeah i dont like that.... the dryer, cooker and microwave all do my head in. Okay so its an alert but we know its coming so why dont they invent electricial stuff with a nice tune?

My digital recorder which continues to record repeats of TV prgrammes which I recorded last week, even though I haven't asked it to. Not a problem until I set it to record a couple of things and it declares a "conflict"! Of its own flippin making!
