I recently bought an Acer Aspire One Notebook which is an ideal little gadget to use when not on my main PC.
My only gripe is that the volume is very low, even through headphones. Does anyone know how I can get more volume?
Thanks in advance.

Hello Tinker, we have some of these netbooks, and the volume is low and tinny, that's just how they are :-(
Your best bet would be to get a small set of external speakers, with built in amplifier and headphone socket.
Something like http://www.argos.co.u...3ELAPTOP+SPEAKERS.htm
would probably do the job nicely.
Most laptop speakers are notoriouly bad. Their soundcards are often just as bad so external speakers and headphones still sound cr@p.

Buy a USB sound card and plug in external speakers.

If you are using headphones buy a USB headset. The Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 is among the best available. Super comfortable and very clear sound.
