Around about 1974 ish, either the daughter or wife of Ravi Shankar released a single. What was her name and what was the song called?

Is it possible that you're getting confused with Norah Jones? She's Ravi Shankar's daughter as has recently released the slow jazzy album, Come Away With Me.

Ravi's wife is called Sukanya and his other daughter is called Anoushka...but i can find no record of the missus having recorded anything....Sorry.

Is it possible you are thinking of ANANDA Shankar? Ravi's nephew, he was releasing records throughout the 70s. The album simply titled "Ananda Shankar" is really quite good with a couple of good covers on it (Jumpin' Jack Flash and Light My Fire) and original material. Far more "commercial" and Western influenced than Uncle Ravi.
