Washing Fimo buttons

I am busy knitting ready for the latest arrival to our pack. I can never find buttons that I really like so I thought about making my own with Fimo. I've made loads of stuff with Fimo but never anything that would have to withstand the rigors of laundry. Has anyone else used Fimo buttons?
