Not a good week.

Sorry to have a moan but it has been a bad week. Daughter rushed into hospital Monday with Viral Meningitis, being pumped through with drugs and is improving. But she has not been seen by a doctor since Monday evening, even then the staff had to insist he came. They have tried to get one to see her since but no good, they have even asked her to complain in the morning as they are fed up with the system. They can't answer any of her questions as the only place they could put her was a rehab ward and the staff do not know much about the disease and prognosis.But she is improving.
Next we ddiscovered we have a flood in the downstairs loo that has spread into study next door, so all underlays hanging up to dry. Carpets are ok as underlay is waterproof, thats why we didn't see it. I happened to move a sofa in the study next door and saw all plaster bubbling up the wall. Obviously been leaking for ages, SIL came and fixed it so just have to dry out. This is the 3rd flood we have had in this house - enough.
Then I trapped my thumb in car door, black nail very painful.
So all in all not good, but the only way is up!!

Oh caran, I thought my week had been bad, won't go into it, but yours has been worse, hope your daughter's recovery is speedy, and that you get the leak sorted, and that your thumb is ok!............

Oh Carol! Hope your daughter improves with great speed and gets to see a doctor pdq. The thumb is painful - I know. The flood is just rubbing your nose in it. Wish you all better soonest x

Bad luck happens in threes. I really hope your daughter is OK. She really needs to have someone fighting her corner for her, and finding out who is going to give her some satisfactory treatment. I don't know who you complain to in cases like that but her health is at stake here. Best of luck esp with the black fingernail.

Sorry AYG. It has been the worst time this could have happened. Her eldest daughter is 15 today, She was having her first proper grownup party at home tomorrow with 12 mixed boys and girls and the girls also having a sleepover, that has had to be postponed. Saturday she plus a friend are going to Cardiff to see her favourite group (One Direction) Mum and Dad were taking her and we were having younger ones for sleepover but that has changed now. OH and me are taking them to Cardiff so will have a real late night.
