electric meter question
1 Answers
I am changing my tariff on Monday from economy 7 to one 24 hour tariff. I have gas central heating (no storage rads) and have recently found out that economy 7 is for people who are all electric. I thought I was doing my bit for the fuel industry and saving some money by doing things overnight. Apparently not the case.
My point is this. I have one tiny digital meter with a possible eight program settings on it. I use two of these programs. Prog 1 is overnight and prog 2 is day. Am I correct in thinking that all the electric man will have to do is reprogram the meter so that there is only one program running? I know I will not be charged for this but the third degree customer services gave me made it sound like a major job. I was not able to talk to the engineer direct. Are they thinking I am under the old system where you have two large meters?
