I am replanning my patio It is concrete and slabs ie no soil
Will Pyracantha grow in a pot/tub against trellis work ?
Will Passion Flower grow in a pot/tub ?

Yes and yes is the answer .....But, you have to keep them well watered and feed weekly. As the plants are being grown in an almost artificial environment (in a tub, not the ground), you will have to do all the work for them ie provide nutrients and water.
Then, i would say every 4-5 years, the plant needs taking out of the tub, the root ball broken up and replanted back in the tub with fresh compost.
