That news will certainly make Alex Salmond think twice now.
'But don't be vague', does that include all Whisky Mr Hague?

Its not just Whiskey but all their trade and very importantly tourism . Scotland is massively promoted by all our agencies and that would go or they would have rightly to pay for it.
I digress but I think they are mad to want to break away but it would help our unemployed because thousands of Scots are employed in our public services which were relocated there and these would be brought back here.

We get £billions from tourism to the UK, which is probably the route of Hagues idle threat. The tourist will come here whether England and Scotland have a different tourism campaign. I don't think Scottish Whiskey relies much on the English promoting it. If the drunken English yobs abroad are anything to go by, the further the Scottish Whiskey Industry keeps a great distance from them the better.

Yet another anti-English post from Gromit.
When it comes to drunken yobs abroad, they are not on there own, when it comes to drunkenness, the Scots and Irish can show the English a thing or two, the only difference being the English don't get so violent.

It's anti-Scottish sentiments like yours which only add grist to that numpty
Salmond's mill! FYI only 23% of Scots want independence. Futhermore, to say that the Scots/Irish can show the English a thing or two about violence
need I mention the recent riots down south, none up here, not just the first time for rioting either was it? Why were English teams banned from European football? So far you've spouted the same old tired cliches that Scots are drunken yobs given to fighting for nothing. Take a closer look at some of your streets especially a weekends. Binge drinking, and violence is not confined to Scotlands streets take a look closer to home!

Dont think Grommit is anti English as he/she can't even spell the national drink right, it's Whisky or Scotch. I live in Scotland and all this row is doing is driving a wedge between the English & Scottish. I know a minority of Scots passionately want independence but as has been proved recently in Europe, united we stand divided we fall. Eck is very good with the rhetoric but as of yet all he has done is take money from Westminster to subsidise freebies to his followers. As any sane person will tell you this can not carry on forever, thats why Europe is in such a state, look at Greece where tax paying is optional but the Greeks all want subsidised pensions so they car retire at 40. Whats been quite an eye opener is the amount of English people who say they want Scotland to go it alone, I would like to hear the the Scots reply to being voted out of the United Kingdom by England the Claymores would be rattling!
