Radio lights Corsa

I have a 51 plate Vauxhall Corsa - does anybody know if the radio should light up, like the heating controls etc etc ??

Standard fit radio has no lighting on it apart from the actual display (which is not very bright) Set the radio before driving off and then leave alone, less chance of an accident if you watch the road and not the radio controls..

Where is the problem with promoting road safety when answering a question 'Toureman', maybe we should all use one word answers and not actually think about what we are saying on here.

I presume that is a Vauxhall CD2005 unit or similar?
Not much lights up on them.
