Humax .ts files

All of a sudden I am having problems with transferring recorded .ts items from my Humax to my pc where I convert them to mpg they are only converting to audio files only with no picture. I have had no problems at all for the last year or so and I am at a loss as to what is wrong. Some, not all of my previous recordings I have saved on a external hard drive mainly films have started to play in audio mode as well, so I am not sure if it is the Humax at fault or my pc (win 7 64 bit) that has an issue. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.

Test the files with Mediainfo first.

Windows will not natively play .TS
VLC and CMP will .. or use the correct Codec added to system.
