Catalyst Manager
2 Answers
I recently bought an Acer One Notebook with Win& 64 bit. In my programmes there is an ATI Catalyst Install Manager but it does not appear to have been activated yet. I have Googled this but I am still not sure what it is and if I need it.
Can anyone tell me if this is part of Windows 7 or something Acer has put there?

It's the "toolbox" for your graphics card, so it's not part of windows but is is relevant to the hardware you have.
It' s not strictly needed (the computer would function fine without it) but it does give access to some of the more advanced options the graphics card has.
It's not harmful and if you don't know 100% what you are doing best to leave it...
