Copying a text

How do I copy a text from a search into AB please.

Click the cursor on the address bar at the top of the screen once you've found the page, which makes the address turn blue. Then click Ctrl and C keys simultaneously, which copies the page. Then go back to the page where your answer is, put the cursor where you want the link to be there and click Ctrl and V keys simultaneously, which pastes the address/URL into the answer. Good luck!

Sorry...the above instruction just provides a link that takes readers to the web-page you found. If you wish only to copy a selected part of that web-page, highlight the text required by dragging your cursor over it and then do the same as above as regards Ctrl/C etc.

Quizmonster's answer is, of course, correct. I prefer a different method because it seems easier to me;

As before, click and drag to highlight the relevant text. Then right-click & select 'copy'. Insert the cursor at the correct place where you wish to paste the text, then right-click & select 'paste'. I find this easier because it's all done with the mouse, rather than having to go mouse-keyboard-mouse-keyboard.

Nice one, B! I didn't even know one could do that...basically because I am a total computer illiterate. I'll probably forget to use your method, having got so used to doing it the other way, but I'll try. Cheers

I've always done the same as you Buenchico - it's much quicker!

Also, if you wanted to copy & post a page -

Right click on the address bar, thus hilighting it, go to the page & place you want it to appear on, right click again, then paste & return. If you want to change the text you've transported, highlight it & type over it - like so: Here

Another useful tip, if your target application supports it, is to use something like 'Paste Special' and then select 'Plain text'. That'll get rid of any formatting and make a neater job of the paste. I use it all the time at work.
