I have a KA, it was serviced recently, and all seems fine, except that I need to accelerate more to change up the gears, and it chugs when I brake a little in fourth or fifth gear if I brake a little, didn't do this before!...........any ideas?.....TIA...............

£150 to replace a Ka front spring???!!!!
My local garage would do it for around £30 (part) + £17.50 (½ hour labour charge) + VAT = £57.
A couple of years ago the Ford main dealer I was working for replaced TWO springs on my Escort for around £80. (OK, I was getting staff rate for the parts and labour but that was actually still a higher hourly rate than my local garage would charge).
