Propain - is there a shortage?
10 Answers
Does anyone else use Propain as their preferred pain-killer, and if so, can you still obtain it at the moment? I have tried every chemist in the town, plus also Boots at Gatwick and St Pancras, and it's out of stock. The Plus version is there but that's too strong. I know I can get it on-line but I wonder whether it's just in the SE or in other parts of the country too. Odd.

(i) know anybody going to germany - they should be readily available there as they are a propietary brand of Sandoz, a major pharaceutical co, based at Holzkirchen. A mate of mine used to work for them but is now Pres of Allergen (Botox says he laughing after the earlier anagram - one David Pyott).
(ii) failing the above, e-mail them to ask for UK [email protected]

I have been looking for Syndol tablets (in Durham) and they are also unavailable everywhere. I was told by a few chemists that the company that makes them is merging with another company and there is a licensing issue. They have withdrawn all their products until it is sorted, at the earliest in March. Propain is also one of the many products they make so all that is left is what is on Pharmacy shelves. We have had better luck with local pharmacies, we can't find anything in Boots.
