The Real Meat company used to do superb meat without additives etc - the old fashion method of farming. I believe they have now ceased trading. Anyone know if I can buy decent honest meat without all the additives medication etc that seemed to be fed/given to most animals as the norm.
Dont mind buying by post or shop in the SE.
Thanks

You could google organic meat and see what comes up. Waitrose do decent organic and free range.
Have a look here and see if any of these are near you or do mail order, http://www.guardian.c...ov/03/fooddirectory70
You can buy it online - this is one of many

Organic nor essential but no growth promotors etc is am I correct in saying organic is allowed some additives?
You might as well just to go a good local butcher who can tell you where his meat is sourced. Growth promoters (either hormone or antibiotics for growth promotion) are banned in the UK anyway.
Even organically raised animals can have medication given to them - perhaps not as routine but as a necessary preventative/cure for health problems. Most farmers these days only use medication when necessary, organic or not, as it is an expense that is not justified unless it is doing some good.
