Is there any myths about magpies tap on your window? We have a magpie who taps on out window every morning quiet loudly.

All the Crow family are highly intelligent birds. I think its their own reflection the they are examining, but it would'nt supprise either if they have learnt to attrct attention to get fed.

I have a regular magpie visitor, who taps his beak on our fence and roams the garden cackling away, as if he owns the place. I've taught my children to salute him because this supposedly prevents bad luck.(I don't believe it, but my girls think it's fun).
He always stands his ground and gives me a strange look, reminding me of the Robert Di Niro character in Taxi Driver. I half expect him to say, 'You looking at me?'
