Unsafe news links

When I clicked on the BBC news link at the top of the News section, my Norton internet security popped up the message below..
Why would it do that?

Interesting but strange. I haven't had any problem. Although some weired things do sometimes happen on AB.

It's possible to filter out all elements you feel are not integral to the site. I see no links, adverts, nothing to click on that will lead you off site.

Firstly, are we talking about the link "BBC News" link above the questions but below the "Enter a question" box?

Not sure why it would do that to be honest. Those links are shortened links which we can track (so we know if anyone is using them - we put them up on a hunch that some might find them useful).

The problem seems to be that the program you're using has identified everything on the bbc.in/ address is dodgy - whereas in fact 99.9% wont be. I would expect you'd find this effect one this link to a BBC news story:

http://bbc.in/zvR4OP (the story is about short people living in the skirtings and their credit issues... as far as I can tell)

The links are safe and the anti-virus program is probably apply a "better to be safe than sorry" methodology.

Norton AV gives "Malicious Web Site" also

Certainly seems to be AV problems for which AB cannot be blamed.

The link works ok for me. I am using Firefox browser with Microsoft Security Essentials, along with WOT (Web of trust.)
