I have just bouth thisscanner and cannot install it so any help useful please. I am using Window 7 and the VEHO technical support site doesn't even list this scanner although they sell it. What is the software and how do I anstall it please.

Go here and download the Zip File for drivers and manual. Extract all files from the zip file and click on the Menu.exe file and follow prompts.

Thenk you both. I have instaled what appears to be the software which is Ar Soft Medialmpression and also downloaded the zip file. The scanner refuses to connect when I try to acquire it, The battery is fulllly charged and the status LED shows Blue whch accordiing to the manual means the image copier is ON, the battery is not chatged or no battery is oeaded. I have charged the battery and inserted it correctly so what next. The device manager does not show this scanner and I have tried it on another computer using Windsows 7. At the moment I give up and if I cannot get it working today it gos back for a refund and I'll have a rethingk. Manythanks so far and best wishes.

Joe ......... I'm no expert, but, not showing up in Device Manager suggests the Drivers are not loaded. Perhaps a conflict with another, previous scanner. Maybe uninstalling an older device might free things up.
I don't know why, but recently I had to uninstall a Windows Webcam because it was conflicting with the printer/copier/scanner, and preventing it from working ............ no idea why.

This is a standalone scanner isn't it? Only thing I can think of offhand is have you put in an sd card and tried transferring the images that way?

Thank you all.. My highly qualified son will be home this weekend and he said he will fix. In the meantime if any of you use this scanner what is the version of the smartfix software. Mine is V2.1 and I'm sure I read smewhere it shuld be V7. Veho are no help. Meanwhile thank yu again and I will let you know what happens. Best wirhes.o

All is now well. The scanner is now set up as a stand-alone device and operates in the same way as a digital camera. No software or computer needed. When requred I connect usb to my computer and imports to the appropriate photo editing program. My son syas I shoud have known thia and I am obviouls getting old and thoughtless. Still he has been using computers for 35 years since he was 10 and built a few althoug it is not his profession. Ah well that is why I had hime eduated. Many thanks and best regards to all'
