recovering photos

hi i accidently permanently deleted all my photos off my computer when trying to back them up. i know that some of them are on my ipod but i can't get them off. have tried ipodrip but it only will recover my songs. can i get them off my ipod? can i somehow recover them off my computer even though i emptied the trash?
i'm such a tw@t i can't believe i did that
