Taller Sons

Just watched a piece on the Beeb where the Murray brothers were on either side of their petite mum.
My sons are much taller than Mr Alba and I to the extent they pat me on the head as they pass by.
If you have sons are they taller than you or a similar height?

I am 5' 11'' wife is 5' 7''. son aged 27 is 6' 3''. Yet i am taller than both of my parents, dad was 5' 8'' and mom was 5' ''. It seems that each generation is taller than the last one.

I'm 5ft 4in, my first daughter is a tiny 5ft 1in, second daughter 5ft 8in and son just shy of 6ft, my oh is 5ft 10in. I have no idea where the height came from as my dad and male siblings were all 5ft 9in and the same goes for my oh's 5 brothers and dad.

I'm just between my mum and dad's heights. My brother is taller but he has a different dad. I think he would still be taller than him though. The males on my mum's side are all quite tall. It's just the females who are the short ones :|

Interesting information
FOR BOYS
Take each parent's height and add them together. If using the english system, total the number of inches. If using metric, add the centimeters together.
Divide that number by 2
Add 2.5 inches to that number if using the english system. Add 6.5 centimeters to the number if using metric.
This number is the midparental height for boys
This number plus or minus 4 inches (or plus/minus 10 centimeters) is the range in which you could expect your son to fall.

Subtract 2.5 inches to that number if using the english system Subtract 6.5 centimeters to the number if using metric

One of my sons is 6' 7". I am only 5' 2" and hubby is 6'.

He gets a lot of people coming up to him saying you should be a baseball player. And at one stage he got so fed up, he started being rude back, saying to one bloke, with that beard you could be father christmas!!

im only 5ft tall....even my grandkids are catching me up never mind my kids....
