This is a serious and cowardly attack (wherever you have a group attacking a single person, then each and every one of that group is a coward).

Their parents should be thoroughly ashamed of bringing up thugs like that.

I've just re-read the story...this is actually the first (chronologically) attack, isn't it? Or am I reading it wrong?

so despite the police saying they don't want anyone to speculate on the reasons behind it, the article header claims it was a hate attack.
This kind of frivolity is dangerous and will only serve to create further cracks in relations between groups of different ethnicities in the area.
If it is a 'hate attack' then the three individuals should be punished accordingly and efforts made to ensure that these don't spark further conflicts.
However much I agree that such cases are worthy of discussion, I do hope you'll just as happily post links to 'hate attacks' by white youths just to show that you're not in any way biased!

Well they certainly did not show any 'LOVE' towards their victim, so how else could it be described?

Certainly I would, but I think I wouldn't get the chance, because many would be failing over themselves to post had the roles been reversed.

I realise that you place an over-emphasis on the colour of peoples' skin but most of the rest of us are prepared to be outraged on humanitarian grounds rather than racial ones.

The police would say that, seeing that they don't want to see a split in racial harmony.

White lads batter each other all the time. Black lads batter each other all the time. Lads fight and there are many reasons why they do.
If a black lad hits a white lad (or a white lad hits a black lad) it is not automatically a hate crime or racially motivated. It is occasionally, but mostly it is just the normal reason lads fight.
